With nearly a decade dedicated to law, Mr. Richard brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular to his area of specialization, personal injury law. When asked what inspired him to pursue a career in law, Mr. Richard said:
"I became a lawyer because of my desire to help people. I was initially going to go into politics, but practicing law has given me a greater sense of gratification. I’m able to resolve a case working with people directly as opposed to politics where you have to bargain with other politicians in order to get something accomplished. As a lawyer someone will come to me and say ‘I've been injured and I need help’, and I’ll be able to help them immediately."
As a thought-leader in his industry, Mr. Richard has held several speaking engagements over the course of his career with the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. These include: "Premeditated Murder of the Unlimited Medical Authorization in Arkansasat" at Meet the Experts CLE 2013 with the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, "Preparing Your Client for a Deposition" at Meet the Experts CLE 2012, and several others. He has also won numerous awards and recognitions, including being named as Super Lawyer’s Rising Star in 2015, National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in 2014, and an Up & Coming Lawyer from Missouri Lawyer's Weekly in 2013.
In addition to his career as an attorney, Mr. Richard gives back to his community through his work with several non-profits. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Northwest Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Council, an organization that awards $25,000 worth of scholarships every year to high school and college students in the Northwest Arkansas area. He also is the secretary of the non-profit branch of his college fraternity, where he raises money for a variety of causes including women’s shelters and after-school programs.
Mr. Richard recently moved to his firm’s office in Rogers, Arkansas where he hopes to continue making a tremendous impact on the lives of people in his community. He noted:
